Your Facebook profile is an important social networking tool. Personalizing your profile is the first step to creating high quality connections with other business professionals. To get started think of building your profile like personalizing your office. Share what you would put on your desk, bookshelves, and walls for clients and business associates to see.
Select Profile from the top navbar and then click the Edit Profile button. Profile is also found from any page under Account in the navbar.
Follow the tabs down the side and to complete your profile:
Basic Information:
Use that short but detailed profile highlighting you and your business you’ve created for your social media presence in About Me section.
Profile Picture:
If you haven’t added your photo, upload the signature business photo you have chosen for your social media networks. The image file should be 4MB max and it should be a jpg, png, or gif.
After your photo is uploaded click edit thumbnail and drag the image to adjust as to how your photo will look thumbnail size through out the site, save it when you are satisfied.
You can click the View My Profile button at anytime to see your progress. Note, this information is stored under the Info tab in the left sidebar below your profile photo toggle back to editing by clicking the Edit Profile button.
After you complete your profile follow the steps in the security and privacy post to adjust your privacy settings to determine what parts are shared with the public and which are only shared with your friends.
